I resently burnt a game (Ghost Recon IT) on to a disc. Now say I turn off my Mod chip. Could I play on XBL? Not XBC but XBL? Becuase my Mod chip is turned off.

You can't.  The copies not signed, and a mobchip is required to run unsigned code.  Also, it would come up "dirty disk" because the origional bios cant read most cd-rws (cept music ones)
