so, metadata + 1ec takes me there, then i replace  it with what? that long value isnt valid, does it just delete doubles ( 0 45 mean 00 45?)

do you know what would make homing rockets even better is if they could be timed ( like a grenade) so that you could out run them ( without making them hit of something

Look at the value at 0x1EC for the needler projectile, and replace other projectiles with that value to add homing...This value is a 'turning radius' of sorts I believe (as a float), so, increasing it makes it turn sharper...(Default is 0 for most weapons, which can't turn)...

The homing rockets have a higher homing value than the needlers, and their speed is also reduced, if you are trying to replicate the patch, but I think Iron Forge already ported it to every other map.

You guys are making this far too difficult. All you need to do is download Cartographer, load a .map file, click on the effects tab, go to rockets, select homing, and save it. It couldn't be any easier. It does everything for you.

yes, cartographer works fine, but what if you want other things to home? cartographer wont do that.

That *should* work...I've been having some issues since I added retail, though...
If memory serves me correctly, the speed of the projectile is defined by [Meta+0x1D4] and the homing-ness of the projectile is defined by [Meta+0x1EC] in the projectile meta...Both of these values are floats...(But I could be wrong, it seems like ages ago since dmauro was working on that... ;o)
