Possibly Hacking Ghost Recon Maps?

I really just want Training and Stronghold.  Maybe a few other maps, but I just love Training for those "grenade-only" matches I have with my friends.  Nothing is better than running around like beheaded chickens throwing grenades at each other.   laugh.gif   Stronghold is a nice map because it allows sniping from across the map; even with an assault rifle...hehehe.  Hmm...now that I think of it, I like the GR maps for the co-op mode.

Hey, if / when you complete the hacking of Ghost Recon, mind taking a look at Rainbow Six or Counterstrike?  Hehehe, I know, I'm such a leech, but you're just so awesome that if anyone can do it, you can.  Hehehe.  Well, I might try my backup of GR:IT with an altered ikedata.gob to see if my hacking actually worked.  If it works, maybe I can alter the recoil / reticule movement to make the game a little more SOCOM-ish.

thanks sashimi-X... I have progressed and yes I will be focusing on Counter strike and Rainbow Six cos those games rock.... OK I am almost completley certain that these .bmf motion files from PC can not be imported to Xbox.... It completley fucks over the game (Freezes the whole thing) But I have been able to get other kits over, actors etc... Now I need to work on linking them together so they work in .mis files.... I just have to import a few more files to the Xbox and I will be done with map hacking... By the way you will need the PC versions of GR to be able to succesfully hack GR on the Xbox... Anyway I have been playing my two new games tonight which are Rainbow Six 3 and NFS: Underground hehe... Anyway after I post this update and finish talking to a couple of mates on MSN I will be straight onto GR again.... And Sashimi I like the training and Stronghold too... I think they are cool and I can't wait to have those two fully working.... Anyway I will be back soon... And I might be able to post some pictures up tonight on my website that I opened specifically for this topic.... all it has is the text "Under Construction" lol but I will try and post some images and tutorials up as soon as I can... I will also take screenshots on my TV to prove that you can import maps... Anyway I am just about to finish it off so I will talk to you guys later on OK? See you later!

OK well I fiddled with it and tried to see if it would load as a campaign mission.... well the briefing loaded fine but I went to proceed to play the map and it froze... This makes me think that each mission with a map changes the IgorID and ScriptID.... Still not certain though.... I will make a new mis file and test it out.... Everything I have done works except the mis files which are the essential parts for hacking GR lol... Anyway I will fiddle some more... By the way I started my website....

Hey I was thinking for a while and then I came up with this idea. What would happen if I was to delete the Xbox missions and place the PC versions o fthe missions onto the Xbox along with the .kit, .map files etc.. I will make a backup of GR: IT and then I will delete its globs and .mis files. Then I will be placing all the pc maps and mission files onto the Xbox to see if map importing would work wit them. Anyway I have to go so I will try it as soon as I get back... L8r

smile.gif  Perhaps I'll have to get off my lazy *** and get to work trying to mod GR:IT for myself.  At least then I can get to a point where I might be able to help you out on what looks like the final problem with importing maps (actors).  I still need to get Ghost Recon though.

Also writing to hopefully keep this thread alive enough so it's not deleted.  Hehehe

Hey guys! I am over my mates house tonight and tomorrow so I need to use this net time wisely... At the moment I am in the process of chopping up all the original mission files and importing different parts of the original mission files into my custom ones.... Hopefully this clears up the IgorID and ScriptID.... Anyway I will post my update tomorrow morning.... See ya guys!

PS. Thanks for keeping the post alive Sashimi-X!
