Help! I Can't Make Ppf Files!

I just downloaded the PPF package and whenever I try to open "makePPF3" it opens the window but immediately closes on me. I'd like to make PPF files, but I don't know how to fix this. Any suggestions?

btw I'm using WindowsXP

There also is ppf patch maker on haloskins under applications.
