use PPF-O-MATIC or something else to patch your cache file

Ok, so I grabbed PPF3, and I have a PPF that says all flying vehivles.

Three questions
1: When I load PPF, it says ISO and Patch. Obviously the PPF gets loaded into the Patch, but what gets put in the ISO area? A map cache file? Do I make an ISO of it?

2: This patch doesnt seem level specific, can it be used on any level map cache?

3: you have any other important info you think I should have?
