Forza Off Hd Problem
« Reply #15 on: August 04, 2005, 04:02:00 AM »

My game loads, but some tracks don't.  It gives a dirty disc error.  Nurburgring I think it's called is one of them.  Has anyone figured out how to fix this?

Forza Off Hd Problem

Hi

I'm still having the same problem.  I've tried doing what everyone on this thread said to do, but nothing works.

Changing the Language settings: I've tried this from the modded side (Evox), going into MS Dash, changing from English to Spanish, got out of MS Dash, reboot, and back into MS Dash, Change from Spanish back to English, then exit Ms Dash, then reboot, and start game.. still doesn't work.  I've even tried all of that without rebooting.  I even tried this from the non-modded side (going into MS Dash itself with the mod off).

Can anyone help?  I can only get the game to work if I don't go online and let MS patch my game.  After the game is patch, I would have to delete my forza directory (with saved games, settings, etc) for the game to load from HD.  It seems like it is the online patch that doesn't let you run the game from HD.  I saw someone  on this thread point out a directory to delete to eliminate the patch.. but how will that solve the problem if I want to play online when i have the mod off?  The game will be patched again if i delete the patch itself.

please help... am i doing anything wrong while changing the language settings?

I tried everything this tutorial says, but no luck. I basically just want to play this game off of my HD and then be able to use that knowledge on future games I may need to patch as well. Is there a straight-forward, simple way to do this b/c I've tried all kinds of sh*# and nothing has worked. So far, I've done everything in this forum and this one:

http://forums.xbox-s...hp/t447497.html

If someone tells me to use this one, then can you basically spell out exactly what I need to do and where I can find those files, etc:

http://forums.xbox-s...hp/t246376.html

As you can see, I've requested some help on those as well. I really want to get this game working.
Thanks everyone!

I've tried all these except the langauge switch thing because I can't get to the MS dashboard. Like normally just hit the power button and it would boot to the MS dash. It won't do that, it gives me an error 05 in the top left corner. and when I'm in my unleashx dash I go to the boot to ms dash option down near the bottom and it gives me a can't find file uix.xbe error. Is there another way to try this fix?? Or if someone can lead me in the right direction to fix the loading of the MS dash problem that would be appectiated.
