He meant go to the GAME SAVE EXPLOIT forum on this site and read those tutorials to find out what saves to get to get FTP ACCESS (computer to xbox connections). And then find the game SAVE folder to delete the necessary files to trick the box into thinking it's a stock forza.

I have splinter cell, and have looked at the tutorials.

Which tutorial do I need to follow?

How is Splinter Cell related to what im doing for Forza?

People here mentioned how to get into the saves, so using Splinter Cell deals with getting in. You're gonna use the game to be able to FTP into your Xbox to get rid of the updates....

Did you 2 at least try to look into the MS dash to see if the update was deletable?

Good god people...

You load up the retail version of Splinter Cell in the unmodded xbox, then load the hacked gamesave off of the hard-drive. You got the hacked gamesave onto the harddrive via memory card with Action Replay (or by making your own USB memory card). It then boots evolution x which has an FTP server built in... if you don't know how to use FTP then DO SOME DAMNED RESEARCH!

ok I just deleted the update via FTP using the splinter cell exploit. System Link works again.

Question - Now I can delete the splinter cell saves off HD and get on LIVE ok? Don't want to get banned!!!!

I assume you mean http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=175558 I have read this tutorial and think I can give it a go with little or no problems.

But...

Where do I receive the software and saves required? It states the "usual place" im not familiar with what this means, so could someone point me in the right direction.
Also, will this exploit work with my xbox v1.6 ? I assume it will...

If you guys truly want to get rid of the update you could simply delete ALL your forza saves on the console from the dashboard. This *should* remove the updates.

Unfortunately, yes. Although, that would be if you deleted the icon on the far left. You should be able to find the download update on the right, although that may only work on download content, and not updates.
