wow congrats, im surprised you were smart enough to zlib decompress the files.. unless your little program did it for you..

haha cs modding.. just what i want to mod.. a game that i was done with 7 years ago on the PC, that came to xbox with even worse graphics..

ill still be waiting on the day that multiex helps you with a paintjob, and the day that you actually do it (never) so feel free to message me when it happens..

wink.gif

I just can't wait for you to do it, since MultiEx works so well at exporting and injecting files back into the .cab files that really matter.  wink.gif

Those ini files are the ones in the cab files that won't do you any good, even if you can somehow magically get the injection to actually work.  biggrin.gif

The reason they won't release the tools is because they can make easy money.

biggrin.gif  this is so pathetic it is funny !

I love Forza, dont have live and my art skills are shite,  but a software tool that allows me to mod my cars decals would be very nice and appreciated.

sniper & co. you come across as pompous twats,  either release your program or just stfu about it because it is of no use except to inflate your own egos.  Your dribble about not releasing it because of cheats & blah, blah, blah is weak.  If that is really the prob just release something that works purely with the texture extraction/injection and encrypt the process.  In any event someone will replicate the work in time and release it.... murphy's law !

goodonya the other guys who are working on something to release into the public domain for us all to use and then these little wankers will sink back into insignificance where they sprouted from.

cheers jo  beerchug.gif

dry.gif  ).  The idea of a general purpose file interpreter is fantastic, and MultiEx appears to be well supported.  But like SniperKilla, I was disappointed that you needed to pay for a scene tool!, and I also struggled to get anywhere with the unregistered version in this instance. sad.gif (those two points may be related dry.gif ).  Still, a promising utility.

we are not releasing anything due to security concerns, and we instead are offering a service to anyone that wants a custom car.. for free.. out of our own time.. so that the discovery's fruits can be shared with the community without the security threats that would come along with releasing the authkey.. if you dont like it that way.. tough fucking shit

Not completely true there krash.  Even if you had a tools that can edit the paintjobs in every way, you couldn't have those paintjobs attached to your profile / usable on Live.  Why?  Because they are all signed with the Forza Motorsport "AuthKey".
