But seriously, it's not too hard to modify the textures in the game, and I will more than likely make a program like the WM 21 program, so that people can modify the textures of the cars in their garage, rather than modifying every car of a certain model with the same paint job, if you did it to the game files.  All those hacks were done through the save file.  smile.gif

and hope any misunderstandings about my viewpoints are cleared up, wasnt flaming anyone, not my style.  just seen too many that want to show themselves off as elite, and its rubbed me the wrong way at times.  at least you guys are making tools to utilize the info you know and not sitting on it.  probably easier to just make the tool and let everyone else work with it than to explain it a million times to everyone anyway  blink.gif   keep up the good work.

Do the .cab files contain .ini's with performance data?

I'm not interested in changing anything, but learning more about the stock cars and any info FM contains, like CoG, roll centres, spring rates, suspension layout, inertia, steering ranges, etc.

Is this info there? I would be perfectly happy with a tool that just allows me to extract this info and learn from it about the cars I like.  :D

hey whomever has this info(im going to look at this myself just to see what i can find out,regardless i would like anybody to not give anything)

it sousnds like the above post is some-one just digging for cheat settings,and not even having put this game on my hd yet

just please dont ruin this game for the majority on the tunnel services really just dont release anything

Just so you know: I'm not looking for cheats. As I said: I would just like to EXTRACT the  info. You could make it that the packer does not recinclude physics files.

I'm interested in the physics files for two reasons:

1. To see how realistic Forza really is. I know a bit about cars and have quite some insider knowledge on some of the cars that would allow me to compare FM to reality.

2. Which builds to my second motivation: Add-on cars. I'm in the process of creating add-on cars for other sims like nKpro, GTR and soon rFactor and checking back on the realism of the FM data and having it available would allow me to use realistic data where I didn't have any yet. Check out racesimcentral.com if you don't believe me. I'm a member with nearly 3k posts there. If FM is as realistic as they claim, then the data would be a great asset. Currently I'm modelling a Skyline that you can see here: http://forum.rscnet.org/showpost.php?p=2422614&postcount=69

I understand your care for the quality of online play. Cheaters suck. I would be perfectly  satisfied if I don't get the unpacker but just the plain physics files.

hmm if you could edit the decals on a pc so you can just paste an image in easily, what happens when you sell your car? or someone views it over live? I bet it will just look like the default decal to them sad.gif

I have no problems giving you just some physics files.  As soon as I get some (haven't had the time to extract everything yet), I'll get them to ya.  ;)

I would love to browse all of them, but the ones above are the ones I'm planning to recreate digitally at some point.

Looking forward to seeing what you guys can do with the game. I just want to import my own decals and apply them to cars for my personal use, hope you manage a way to do it!
