Configure Emu Once For All Games?
« on: November 03, 2007, 04:51:00 PM »

I know this has been talked about before but I cant seem to find the topic.  How do you configure things such as the screen adjustments and game controls so you only have to do them once for a emu instead of everytime you start a game you havent played?

Delete all stuff in the respective saves folder on your E:\ drive for the emulator.
Configure emu to your likings, say yes when it asks you if you want to make it default for all games, load the game you wish to play.

This ain't good enough.

If Xport's gonna update a load of emulators, he could at least sort this out. Why do we have to delete all the game saves just to sort the screen out and controls??

I never did get it figured out myself.  The screen resizing never worked and I couldnt find a way to map the gamepad buttons for every game so I just gave up on it.

I think you can map all games buttons by going to the main menu configuration and when you back out of changing the settings, it'll give you the option for all games.

The screen sizing option from the same place only affects games you haven't played on. Any with already set/already played/bad settings do not get changed...

Anyone else agree that this needs fixing?

to adjunst the screen takes a lot of free-time, becase each TV had a diferent size

but to configure the buttons for emulators?

you will configure 1 time e nevermore.
when configure a emulator in the main screen, the emulator ask to you (do you wish cofigure this for all games???) and the emulator SAVE the configuration

well, that's it

For me on the "set game screen size/position" is very hard to configure and get right because I have to go well beyond the tvs viewing area for coordinates  in order for the tv to display the game in fullscreen.  I basically have to adjust the coordinates by guessing then go back to the game to see if I have a fullscreen.  If I filled the screen perfectly using the game screen size/position boxes the game never displays properly when I go back to the actual game.

One other thing is that when you select a game you have never played you alway get the game configuration screen popping up wanting stuff like "mode" "video mode" "number RAM pages" and etc...  It would be nice to configure this just once and not have to do it again with other games in the system but I have never found a way to do it.
