Xboy Problems
« on: September 28, 2006, 01:33:00 PM »

I am using Xboy Advance V 20

When I save a game, and return to the game at another time, my memory wasn't recorded.

When I play any game, The sounds/music skip freqeuntly and I'd rather have no sound playing a GBA rom then having sound, because the sound skipping is rather annoying, I've tried countless settings to stop the sound skipping but it does not work.

Please tell me what the problem is.

Regarding saving, I'm not if this applies to saving to the battery memory, but i know with save states that if you turn the console straight off they are NOT saved. To have them save, you need to select the Return To Dashboard option. Only then do they save. While I save to battery mem, I also always use save states just incase. Mine have never failed as long as I return to the dashboard.

Regarding the sound skipping, on the rom selection screen press X and you can change the options. Play around with the frame skipping setting. I ususally leave it on 2 and haven't noticed any major issues. It's simply that the xbox doesn't have enough power to emulate the GBA at full speed. (It might also be the emu is not the most efficient, but nothing can be done about that right now).
