Tribute WHDLoad edition V1.0 ( XBOX ONLY )

Powered by Xports WinUAEX this special DVD boots directly to Workbench giving you access
to hundreds of Games and Demos using WHDLoad installations which means ....
Ready to run without having to configure any of the games as they run Directly from Workbench.

For those who use Newsbins !!
Version 1.0 of the WHDLoad Edition for Xbox will be up on newsbins this evening.

This Is Version 1.0 and for the moment uses "Bloodwych's Classic WB Full"
Hopefully he will create a specific one for me when he returns but for now this version it works great !!

Plenty of room for updating as well so Version 2 will be better  cool.gif

It boots to an Amiga workbench screen and then you probably double click on the "Games" folder, and then double click on the Letter you want "A-Z", then double click on a folder, and then the icon.

Nice thing about it is they have documentation (and sometimes hints) for most every game.

Hey synchro.  Did you just take a bloodwych classic workbench lite and point it to the "Games/Demos" directory that are already on the Amiga Tribute II?  Just asking, cause I kinda already did that and it would save me a download.

Thanks..

Works exactly as Madmab stated !!
Its a standalone DVD that will always ( or should ) boot to workbench and should not interfere with any installations you may already have.....And yes basicly its an easy xbox version of the workbench setup that  was on my tribute DVD. It contains the workbench ..the demos ...and all the games !!

The DVD is only half full and as stated is version 1.0
Although it is possible to run the WHD stuff on tribute II on xbox its was never intended to do that its also a lot of dir swapping.....This rectifies the situation....Call it an Expansion disk if you like smile.gif
I will add to it and improve things .......If it goes down well with the community anyway  wink.gif

how exactly do you burn this iso?  I got all the rars & extracted them successfully, get the iso out and load it in Nero and it doesn't recognize the iso.  So I thought I'd rebuild it.  I loaded it up in CXBoxtool and it did the same thing.   What am I doing wrong here and why isn't it like normal xbox .iso files?  Is there something I'm missing?  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Help please, my friend is also having the same exact problem.

Nevermind, i got it to burn!

But it's really hard to read the text... and a lot of games don't seem to work right.

I have a registered copy of WHDload. Can this be added to the DVD?

some time ago i created a tool to create selfbooting HDF files from the usual WHDLOAD Installs, i havent looked at the new autoboot function, but maybe we can get it that way that we create only a HDF for each game and use the workbench for booting and WHDLOAD stuff(right now each game hdf contains the complete whdload files and the needed kickrom)

That sounds familiar.  Is it written for unix systems?  Or can us windows user take advantage of it?  I could certainly use something like that.  I was considering doing what you said anyways and throwing something together.

You'd have to copy the files to your xbox so that you can drop your whdload.key file somewhere where it could be seen.  You can probably get away with just copying the .hdf file to your xbox and setting up the .cfg file to poin to the DVD.

Yes its for linux/unix bash only atm, maybe i can write down the concept/steps and you can convert it to the windows shell, also wouldnt be that hard to code it in C, if i had the time for this.

Ye this workbench wasnt really ideal for the this disk but it did contain everything needed to run WHD and other installs......If some of the games dont work then it could be a number of reasons....ie...Winuaex doesnt run them....you need the key to register or some may need to have configerations altered as this is really a 1200 workbench...Some may need to be a500 or a500+ but you can manually change the roms if required.

The problem is how many of us have ever tried all these games in one hit like this to see what works and what doesnt ???

I will try to do better on version 2  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

The common tool for ISO is really DVD Decrypter or record now max....Its made in UDF mode so it can be read on a PC as well.....i prefer this so i can copy the games back or add more...makes life easier but its unlikely you will be able to extract the ISO directly....but once burnt to a DVD you dont need to....just pop it in your PC (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
