This is a port of the game Abuse-SDL. It's a 2D action/shooting/platformer.

Super thanks to Lantus for his SDL-XBox libraries!

Usage Notes :

Use an XBox controller plugged into port #1

DPAD/Left Analog - Move character
Right Analog - Move cursor, aim weapon
Right Trigger - Fire weapon, Select menu items
Left Trigger - Activate special power
A - Change weapon (right)
X - Change weapon (left)
Y - Toggle cheat mode
WHITE - Resize screen
BLACK - Pause game
BACK - Exit/cancel
START - Confirm text message, unpause

It can take a while to load the program and also to save the game. If you think
it has stalled, wait for a couple of minutes first.

You must be playing the game in order to resize the screen. While in resize-mode,
use the left and right analog sticks to change the size. Press START to confirm.

Some of the audio tracks are cut off at the end due to the problems with converting
HMI files into MP3 files.

Oh man, this is one of the coolest things I've heard in a long time! I can't wait to try this out! I played so much of this game on my old Macintosh IIsi way back when it was released. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

XPort, I really hope you can fix the loading problems in future versions. It's been over 5 minutes and it's still slowly loading the game.

Quick note: You can't seem to get out of the Credits screen if you go to it.

If you need any testers, let me know. I just got a lockup at the beginning of Level 3. I climbed up the ladder, and the giant drill came at me, and the game locked. I'll post more as I find them, XPort.

The slow loading is not likely to change. It does a lot of funky stuff while loading that makes it very hard to see where the problem is.

Press the RTRIGGER while on the credits.

Can you reliably recreate the problem? If so, post your save game somewhere and tell me how to reproduce.

The usual place has FreakDave's SDLx, which fixed a memory leak in Lantus's version.
