LOL
yeah....
There should really be more documentation on this project regarding the xbox version(or if there is beyond the "read me & FAQ" I couldnt find any, because those dont answer any of my questions)
Yeah i spent sometime on the site afterwards, finaly figured out the song thing, actually still had to install on my PC so hell if I know if there was an easier way.
Also Im assuming some of the things just dont work(beyond the video) because i would expect this version(a port) to be stripped down, but damn. giving someone a stepmania link dosent say a hell of alot.lol.
two very diffrent projects...obviously.
Anyways Im glad this out, thanks to xport, the only diffrence between these ddr-eque games is music,so its nice to be able to add, peace out.

heres some comedic gold form your helpful link
You don't understand a damn thing do you. If you knew anything, you'd know it's the same project, and hardly anyone on the official team has anything to do with this port, yet all of the Xbox code gets put into the official source sooner or later.
This is not what you call a 'ddr-eque game'. This was built from the ground up as a SIMULATOR, not an actual game. Now, the project has been taken in a few directions with some commerical success, such as In The Groove, but that was derived from Stepmania and not the other way around. Stepmania itself will never be a game, and will always be a simulator, in the same fashion that an emulator program itself will never be a game.
I linked you to the official website, because everything you need to know about how to add content is on that page. It doesn't matter if you're running the Xbox, Windows, Mac, or Linux version, it's still the same damn tutorial.
This port is far from stripped down. It's has it's own bugs, sure, because Xport is adding code himself to help run it, but minus the problems some of us are having, and the lack of video codec support, this is a full blown port of 3.9 Final, which was originally released in December. So this is a pretty damn recent copy of the program.
By the way, thanks for knowing how to spell my name mechassstan. Be sure to use a spell checker next time you plague the web with your typing...
