 - Fixed ISO/MP3/CUE bug where CD images with more than 1 data track
will fail to load when the last track on the CD is a data track.

Can still only get 1 usb mouse to work. Only difference now is, when you plug in the second mouse, the first mouse retains control.

That's actaully a bug in cddissect.  It can't handle MODE2 data.  There is actually data in that track - you can dump the track with something like Nero and see it.

I've discovered that it's actually the FMV sequence that's supposed to play when the game boots. It runs from the original disc but not from ripped files (haven't tried it with this latest version yet). So what's the best way to rip this kind of data? (is it enough to rip it with Nero and convert to .iso?) and how should it's CUE sheet entry look to get WinUAE-X to recognise it?

I had a feeling that the hanging happened on a real CD because I don't see any difference between the execution paths for real-cds and iso/mp3.  This is a core bug (and an unimportant one, really) so this will get a pass.

That's cool. So is this unrelated to the similar bug in MednafenX-PCE/Neogenesis where some MP3s loop when they shouldn't? For example if you watch the Akumajou Dracula X intro all the way to the title screen the intro MP3 just starts playing again. (doesn't interfere with starting the game though)

Thankies for the new release. I'll do some testing with it later today. happy.gif

How are you testing this?  Are you sure the 2nd mouse is enabled in the game configuration?  What game are you trying?

re:FMV - are you saying that the FMV will play when playing Cannon Fodder off of a real CD in WinUAEX?  When exactly does it start playing and what does it look like?  I'll have more information on how to deal with CDs that have multiple data tracks later.

Yes, this is unrelated to Mednafen/NeoGenesis.

I tired two mice again and did not get it to work either. Again though... could be the way I connect the two mice that just does not work.

I connect the two mice into the G15 keyboard (USB hub, two ports) and then connect that to the Xbox (only have one USB adapter for the Xbox). The game I tried was Hired Guns. The end result is that only one mouse actually works, both powers on but regardless of how they are connected only Mouse1 responds. Disconnecting one mouse only leaves the other one as Mouse1.

Have a very small problem with the menu on the cd32 200 game iso.  The games work fine but I would like to use a save state from the menu where I select from the games. The problem is that it crashes when I load the state from this point.

Any ideas ?

Turns out Cannon Fodder's FMV intro can only be played on a CD32 with a special FMV module which WinUAE does not support. Strange, because I'm sure I at least got it started on a much older version of WinUAEX. But it doesn't really matter, the only two games I've found with multiple data tracks both use them to store FMV module intros. So it's not really of any importance as long as the games run which they now do. happy.gif

Another problem I've discovered is with the controller config though; the (Joy1 CD32) buttons don't work at all in two player games. The Joy2 ones work fine of course but this means that only one player can use CD32 buttons.

Right now I'm only going to investigate why 2 USB mice on 2 xbox ports are not working.

Use cddissect on my website to create your ISO/MP3/CUE files.

Do save/load states work for you on other CD32 games?

Which game?  If more than one, list all of them.

Every two player game I've tried suffers from this problem (Alien Breed, Sensible Soccer, Chaos Engine, et al). You have to unmap the 3 (Joy1 Btn) buttons and map your controls to just the (Joy1 CD32) ones. When you try to play you will find those buttons do nothing. The Joy2 mappings do not have this problem and will happily use just the dedicated CD32 buttons.

Since standard Amiga joysticks were also compatible with the CD32, you can sort of get around this problem by  mapping the controls you want to be Red and Blue to (Joy1 Btn1) and (Joy1 Btn2). But that only gives the other player two buttons out of seven.

Normally with keyboards with usb ports, only one port will work in the emu anyway. If you run linux on your xbox, then both ports work.
