All video mode switching now works perfect on 1.6 xbox's. You can switch to and fro in every mode without garbling. And 480i now correctly switches to interlaced instead of staying in progressive when switching from 480p.
Cheers Xport.

This is a massive improvement. Many of the CD32 games that weren't starting at all before now work perfectly when run from the CUE sheet.

But even in the few games I tested there was one that still didn't boot correctly; the 'Dangerous Streets + Wing Commander' double-pack disc. As before, it works perfectly when run from the ISO but running from the CUE just brings up the spinning CD screen as if no disc is inserted.

I'll test lots more games tomorrow and post if I find any more that still have issues, but on the whole this is a great update.

CD32 Zool which has fmv before game loads now works from cue and iso. Audio tracks playing ingame aswell when using cue.

Just finished testing some more games. It seems Cannon Fodder has the same problem as Dangerous Streets + Wing Commander; when run from the CUE it just displays the spinning CD screen (no problem when run from ISO).

Also the following games still crash the emulator as soon as they are launched (again only when running from CUE):

The Big 6
Alien Breed - Tower Assault
ATV - All Terrain Racing

Post your CUE sheets to Cannon Fodder and Alien Breed.

Cannon Fodder and Alien Breed may not be the best games to use in troubleshooting these issues since neither have any MP3 audio tracks. So I've posted the CUE sheets for DS+WC and The Big 6 (which have the same problems) along with those you requested.

The Big 6 (crashes):
CODE
FILE "ZZ_BIG601.iso" BINARY
TRACK 1 MODE1/2048
INDEX 1 00:00:00
FILE "ZZ_BIG602.mp3" BINARY
TRACK 2 AUDIO
INDEX 1 11:54:70
FILE "ZZ_BIG603.mp3" BINARY
TRACK 3 AUDIO
INDEX 1 14:45:27

Dangerous Streets + Wing Commander (no disc):
CODE
FILE "ZZ_DSWC01.iso" BINARY
TRACK 1 MODE1/2048
INDEX 1 00:00:00
FILE "ZZ_DSWC02.mp3" BINARY
TRACK 2 AUDIO
INDEX 1 23:12:06
FILE "ZZ_DSWC03.mp3" BINARY
TRACK 3 AUDIO
INDEX 1 26:52:31
FILE "ZZ_DSWC04.mp3" BINARY
TRACK 4 AUDIO
INDEX 1 30:55:59
FILE "ZZ_DSWC05.mp3" BINARY
TRACK 5 AUDIO
INDEX 1 35:29:66
FILE "ZZ_DSWC06.mp3" BINARY
TRACK 6 AUDIO
INDEX 1 39:56:22
FILE "ZZ_DSWC07.mp3" BINARY
TRACK 7 AUDIO
INDEX 1 44:10:25
FILE "ZZ_DSWC08.mp3" BINARY
TRACK 8 AUDIO
INDEX 1 49:01:37
FILE "ZZ_DSWC09.mp3" BINARY
TRACK 9 AUDIO
INDEX 1 55:13:54
FILE "ZZ_DSWC10.iso" BINARY
TRACK 10 MODE1/2048
INDEX 1 57:17:72

Alien Breed - Tower Assault (crashes):
CODE
FILE "ZZ_ABTA01.iso" BINARY
TRACK 1 MODE1/2048
INDEX 1 00:00:00

Cannon Fodder (no disc):
CODE
FILE "ZZ_CANN01.iso" BINARY
TRACK 1 MODE1/2048
INDEX 1 00:00:00
FILE "ZZ_CANN02.iso" BINARY
TRACK 2 MODE1/2048
INDEX 1 06:06:09

Well after posting those it looks like the 'no disc' problem has something to do with the fact that the games in question have two data tracks.

Excellent that there's a new version out. Great work Xport.

I got a quick question (asked it once before and diden't get an answer). Is using two USB mice supported and if so, can you use a USB hub connected to one port for it?

Hi Xport, thanks again (and again... and again...) for your work.

In future version (if planned as i hope) can you add emulation of D-pad via left analog thumbstick. I dont know if this feature is too hard to code but game experience with stick is unbeliaveble. For all, to test game with left stick try "menace".

Bye,
cicciopaticcio  ph34r.gif

PS: sorry if i has gone OT but i never used any CD32 feature biggrin.gif

Alien Breed and ATR lock the Xbox when run from cuesheet. The Big 6 just gives the CD32 logo.

More than 1 mouse is supported.  You'll probably need to plug them into separate XBox ports.  I have no idea if your USB setup is compatible.

cicciopasticcio - You can do what you want by editing the controller configuration.

I haven't tried v12 yet but this is a very strange problem I have with an original copy of The Chaos Engine CD32 and v11.

I ripped the game using CDDISSECT.

Copied game to hard drive.

If I launch the CUE the game loads fine with all audio. However, at the title screen it simly loops the audio from the start and I cannot do anything.

If I launch the ISO, the game loads to the title screen with no audio. I can then start the game and audio is fine.

Weird.
