WinUAEX Amiga Emulator port for XBox v10

What's New:

 - Possible fix to the infamous Samba bug for some people

 - Adjusted LEDs display

Important Notes
---------------

I poked around the Samba code again and saw something that was definitely
a bug.  I don't know if this will be the thing that prevents some people
from using Samba, but it definitely fixes something.  Please provide
feedback to me on the forums if you test this.  I need to know if it's
working when it wasn't, or if it's not working when it was or if there
wasn't any change at all.

Thankies for the update, hopefully that samba problem is sorted, so that you can move along to updating, or porting something else.

I'd wait a week or so for people to actually use it and report back before committing to anything.

Xport. Found another problem with the video modes and v1.6 xboxs. It's not major but I thought I'd mention it. When switching from 720p back to 480i or 720x480, the screen will garble. Switching from 1080i to 480i or 720x480 works fine. Also when switching from 480p to 480i the screen stays in 480p unless you either exit the emu and restart or switch to 1080i then to 480i. This works. This issue is in your other emus aswell including the ones since you applied the video fix for v1.6's.
Cheers.

ROFL !!

Madmab your not forgotten smile.gif

Neither anyone else thats mailed me.....In fact waiting for Winuaex_10 has been well worth it because i have sussed out how to let the PC and the XBOX share the same game directory.

YAY !!   This means i can use the good old 4.7GB DVD for the project instead of going dual layer ( which was starting to give me problems as you yourself stated ) I have to agree with Xport and wait at least the week i think just to be on the safe side but meanwhile il tweak it a little more....add a few more odds and sods and post a cover up shortly.

I dont think im gonna get a HDD Installer on this one but perhaps version 2 smile.gif

I can't find any issue with Samba. The Samba folder is on my laptop which is linked wirelessly to a Linksys WRT54GS router and Winuaex V10 finds the games and utils just fine. V9 Winuaex also works aswell.

Hi Nightbird,

I am using Debian Linux on my server. I just installed WinUAEX v10 on my Xbox and it still doesn't connect to my samba share. XBMC, Windows XP and Mac OS X have no problem connecting to my samba shares.

Could you post your winuaex.ini configuration to compare it with mine?

This is my configuration of winuaex.ini:

LOCAL_IP=10.0.0.10
SUBNET_MASK=255.255.255.240
GATEWAY_IP=10.0.0.1
smbshare=SMB://xbox:[email protected]/media/emulators/amiga
smb_nameserver=10.0.0.3

This is the error I get in my Samba log:

==> log.myxbox <==
[2006/04/10 10:17:43, 2] smbd/sesssetup.c:setup_new_vc_session(772)
  setup_new_vc_session: New VC == 0, if NT4.x compatible we would close all old resources.

[2006/04/10 10:18:41, 2] smbd/server.c:exit_server(614)
  Closing connections

Thanks in advance,

the default track SONIC.mp3 is not present in "default_winuaex" skin folder ... So i have copied that one in but i can't hear again the music ...

Is it a bug or i forgot to do anything ??

Otherwise thank you so much for your work !!

There never was any BGM in Winuaex !!
I cant remember exactly why but i think things just ran to sluggishly when it was included !!

So i think it was permanantly disabled ???

There seems to be a problem with the CD32 ISO/MP3/CUE support.

Any games that contain even small FMV sequences (Zool, Microcosm, etc.) do not load at all, the emu just sits at the Amiga CD32 screen. It isn't freezing up though, since the CD part of the logo spins continuously.

These games all work fine if run from the original disc.

I'm just thinking, the shared folder is on a windows based machine(laptop left pretty much permanently running in spare room). I'll set up a samba shared folder and stick some adf's in it on the linux machine on the same network which accesses the laptop via samba. I'm not at home at the moment but I think the config is something like:

LOCAL_IP=10.0.0.70
SUBNET_MASK=255.255.255.0
GATEWAY_IP=10.0.0.10
smbshare=smb://xbox:[email protected]/samba/amigastuff
smb_nameserver=10.0.0.10

Thanks for your help Nightbird.

On my Windows XP machines I have no problem accessing my shares in WinUAEX.

I am very curious if you can get it to work on a Linux machine. Maybe its something about the debian version of Samba that only has this problem.
