and the source on xbins for z26x is a pre alpha 0.000000001 version.
There's no emulation going on at all; all that code does is put a spinning triangle on the screen. I believe it's one of the XDK sample programs, with some .asm files from the z26 emulator thrown in to make it look like it's actually going to do something. It's either a major goof or a hoax. The other sources on xbins don't fare much better. None of them are anywhere near the release level of the .xbe.
Considering the emulator parts of these projects are typically GNU public licence, there is now a wee bit of an issue that the source isn't being made available to the public, which it really should be because all we want to do is make it better, togther!
