Sega Cd Emulation
« on: February 04, 2005, 07:52:00 PM »

I'm using NeoGenesis. I'm using the default bios and files that came with the archive. The emu is great, but I'm having problems and wondering if anyone else has them, or if it's just me. When playing a Sega CD game, the game plays full speed, but every couple of seconds the game skips, so much I'd call it freezing for a second. It also does this in the bios itself. Maybe this is a bad bios that came with the archive? I don't see why a system so powerful as the Xbox would have problems with Sega CD emulation, especially since it does it even with the bios.

Like I said, I'm not complaining. This is a great emulator, I'm just wondering if I'm doing something wrong.

Hi,

I also had troubles with SegaCD and NeoGenesis. Try Xenesis, the interface is a little simpeler, but it's a great emu. And SegaCD games work great.

Hopefully the author updates the emu sometime.

Greetings

Yeah, Xenesis works perfect. NeoGenesis is alot more beautiful, but Xenesis seems to be an overall better emulator. Thanks for the recommendation.
