Emu, Authors...request
« on: September 01, 2004, 02:38:00 AM »

hey...does emu (pc) authors are worried about their creations so bad they dont release a source or why they dont release it?

maybe this is a stupid question ....  but maybe we could all request to the emu authors (the source of their emus) for xport to port it...

maybe its pointless...but maybe it works.

Bad, bad, bad idea. This scene has a bad enough name in the emu scene as it is without people whining at authors to release their sources.

Developers think long and hard about whether to make their projects open or closed source and they're not going to change their minds just because you want to play a few more games on your Xbox. All you'll do is annoy them.

This is an extraordinarily bad idea.  Requests for code usually result in the author taking an even more adamant position on not releasing it.  I have not known a single author who released the code because the emu rabble wanted it.  Leave them alone.

You're supposed to be a helper monkey....this isn't helping.

p.s. topic closed because there is nothing more to say on this matter.
