The source code is publically available. It doesn't really need to be on Sourceforge. Oh, by the way, people don't give a rat's ass about SNES9x. Development has massively slowed and many of the developers have abandoned it or went over to working on ZSNES instead. There's only a handful of people that are left working on it. It's highly doubtful that we'll be seeing another major release of SNES9x any time in the near future, if ever.

The main problem affecting SNES9x is the fact that most interested programmers are on Windows and unfortunately the Windows port's source is a mess (mainly the GUI, from what I hear, which is the main problem with the emulator, as you said). There's still some progress on the SNES9x core and the Linux port, but the Windows port is pretty much dead. A lot of them went over to work on ZSNES, where they are working on separating the GUI from the core, translating the ASM over to C slowly and so on. The eventual goal is to remove all ASM from ZSNES so that they can make the source as portable as SNES9x. Who knows, eventually we could have a working ZSNES port for the Xbox (though I wouldn't hold my breath for it).

I have a question

How do you change the directory in which the PSX Cue & Bin files are read from?

I don't want to put them in my E Drive because it has limited space and I don't know how to change the directory from the PCSXBOX settings menu?  It doesn't move from the D: directory.

Can someone please help me with this dilemna?

You can go to any directory you want at any time. Hit the Y button to go up a directory at any time. All the Xport emulators have an option to change the default directory as well. Find it in the Configuration menu and then go to the directory you want to be at by default and hit Start I believe.

Once you get to your games on the drive of your chioce, set them to your favourites.
Just the bin/img so it makes easier navigation and selection

Castlevania SOTN doesnt seem to work for me... its a .bin file (is there much else to it than putting the bin where its supposed to go other than a few minor tweaks?) Its also a shame that Castlevania chronicles doesnt work too... (although it doesnt anyways, both play fine on the PC emulators)    ;)

It'strange but when I play ff7 or chrono cross or something else, it freezes after a little while, for example when I'm entering a fight or something, do you have to do something special with the games or iso's???

I've looked around and i can't seem to find the answer i'm looking for. I put pcsxbox on my hard drive, put granturismo 2 bin/cue files on, got the schp1001 bios in a .bin file. I put that in the bios folder. Every time i go to run the game it gets stuck at the loading screen. does anyone know why this might be happening.

thanks

Suikoden 1.

I've been fighting with this puppy for the past three days, no configuration I have come up with so far has made the large-scale battles work. It just starts to load up the battle and sits there with a BSOD. Any ideas?

You need a .cue file with the .bin. Castlevania SOTN works perfectly. You need to make a better rip.

Hi, I just started to use PCSXBOX. This is the only emulator I have that I can not get to work. I am unable to get ANY of my games to work. I am using the default skin and I set all the filters and options as it shows on the compatibility list plus I have tried various other setting as well and the games wont load.

I get the Loading screen from the Castlevania like skin then everything freezes up.

If I try to load the game using HLE it brings up the select game screen a 2nd time then freezes after I select the game a 2nd time.

If I use the BIOS then the game just freezes on the skin when it says loading. Normally it will say loading for a while and still has audio then the audio freezes and I have turn the xbox off and back on.

Any suggestions?

I am using V13.
