Thank You! for the update       if you have config probs maybe you should try deleting any pcsxbox saves from your dash?

I've looked around for this for a bit and couldn't find anything.  Is there any way to make it so that the emulator does NOT automatically load the save states when it loads a game? (I tried the X menu too and didn't see anything that looked like it would help.)

Look around in the Configuration of the emulator, it is there.

ok then i have a bunch of PS1 games on copies and regular cd's. How would i get them to work on my xbox?

You get the program alcohol 120% go to image making wizard go to the bottom and change the format to playstation rip it to a clone cd format (or img) make a new folder stick the img file in it then make that folder into an iso with qwix or craxtion burn it to a disc an play

cdrwin is better, makes only 2 output files rather than clonecds 4, and the total filesize is smaller

download from http://www.goldenhawk.com and the aspi updates

n00b question: How do I get PCSXBox to use HLE mode?  I couldn't find an answer with the search function.

It'll load a BIOS fine, but without a BIOS in the directory it just refuses to start a game (thought it was supposed to default to HLE), and it never presents an option for HLE, nor could I find one in the settings.

Thanks for your help

depends on your version of the port. if you've got a recent version, pick a game with the X button instead of A, and you can configure you game as if you had picked it for the first time. the top option lets you choose between HLE and BIOS.

that said, you usually don't want HLE, you want BIOS. you'll have to get it.

"scph1001.bin." it's not hard to find.

Sadly Final Fantasy Tactics freezes/loops for me during the first battle (at the monastery). Has anyone else noticed this? I tried a few things to bypass the issue but nothing worked yet.

it's fine for me under BIOS. the english version, and the pre-producion debug version work fine for me. everything else is under default settings; i don't mess with any filters or frameskipping if i don't have to.

There's a horrible studder in the FMV's in Lunar: Silver Story Complete. It's worse in the older versions and gets progressivly better as the new versions are released.  I'll keep playing with the settings to see if it improves
