I've read through almost all 16 pages here now to try and figure out why none of my games work.
I have the bios bin file in the bios dir, I have even tried with the SCPH7502.bin file as some suggested
but the program was only searching for SCPH1001.bin , so I renamed SCPH7502.bin to SCPH1001.bin
still no go. I have bin and cue files. I've tried both in hle and iso mode and no go. I've checked the compatibility
list for the games and they all say they all run very good, except some say run in bios more or hle.
the games are RE1, 2, 3. All do the same when I try to load them
in bios mode it just shows the loading screen and nothing else. in hle mode it just jumps back to previous menu screen only only frames of the background animation is showing. if I try it again the background is black and with a 3rd time the whole xbox freezes.

seems nothing really works to make it run.

the bin dun seem to be faulty since I can read them fine with ei isobuster etc.

any help is appreciated!

Thx

ok in the compatibility thread someone stated this: "To Fix the resident Evil Games and Dino Crisis, set the Throttle button to unmapped." found it and unmapped it. so now RE1 works but not 2 or 3 :/

Ok.  This topic seems general enough for this question..

Trying to start Dragon Quest VII.
Enix Logo working, starting up, intro movie working, press start..
I see a blue screen (pale blue to dark blue, top left to bottom) with the actual menu briefly appearing every 10-15 seconds.  (select save cart and stuff)

Is there a way to swap these two layers, or maybe it's a transparency problem?
I've tried playing with the graphics and CPU emulation settings, still doesn't work.

According to the compatibility list, this game should work?

Thanks.

(after research)
Dragon Warrior VII (text boxes can now be seen) http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=480673

this is with epsxe on X-DSL.

so there seems to be an unsolvable problem for DWvii with the current version of PCSxbox.

I'll give xdsl another go. It's working, but using an xbox controller for linux is weird, esp wit no mouse/kb.

Does anyone know if I can transfer my savestates/memory cards from ePSXe on the PC to this Xbox emulator?

Dragon had this problem a couple pages back but I don't think anyone answered him.

Trying to play Final Fantasy Tactics, the controller becomes unresponsive at the first battle at the monastary... any clues on how to fix that?  Saving state works fine... tutorial works fine.  When I press Y (Triangle) it makes a sound but that's it,  the frame skip button ® works fine too.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Yes, memory cards are compatible. Not sure for savestates though.

Final Fantasy Tactics - works 100% load and save work too. old frameskip, framelimit, parasite eve/vandel heart fix all ON, everything else OFF.

Check the compatibility list next time (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I read the compatibility list... but that didn't stop my game from not working heh.

I finally found where " old frameskip, framelimit, parasite eve/vandel heart fix all ON, everything else OFF." deal is.  so I turned parasite eve/vandel heart fix on.  and left everything else the same.  and am trying it now.
sorry I didn't look as indepth as I should've before posting.

(Press X on your game to get to those options)

I dont know how frequently these are read... but I was wondering xport... would an emulator like this benefit from a 128 ram upgrade if it was compiled to use it? and how hard would it be to adopt auto detection of ram for your emulators? kind of like what FBA XXX Pro does...

Hi

I'm trying to start tekken3 but when i try to start the .bin file it says: "Could not load D:\bios\scph1001.bin".
You know what it means and how I can make it work?
I tired to change the BIOS Mode from "BIOS File" to "HLE"(what ever it may be) and then start the .bin, but then the programm crashes.

How can I make it work? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

thanks

Since the author of PSX didn't want to release the source, anyone know if there is any possibility to ask the epsxe authors about the source?. Just a thought.

I want to say that your work on the prts is phenominal. (sp) I have not complaints for any of the things you have done for the community, including Pcsx. beerchug.gif

The only thing i can really think of to improve with the next release of Pcsx is a couple of things (mind you neither of these are game breaking)

1. Add flexability to the FMV decoder. I'm not sure how it all works, i know that there is some sparratic playback with some titles, and I also know there are specific fixes for some games (i.e. FFVII)

2. More flexability with skinning. Maybe something that allows animated gifs in the background.

To be honest, if you never change anything with the Pcsx, it wouldnt curb its ability to playback most titles unhinderd, and thats all anyone can ever ask for considering the xbox should have never been able to play psx games.

Ok, I have always had this problem with PCSXbox.

I have a soft modded 'box. No matter what game I try to run, it hangs on the "game loading" screen that appears as soon as you click to launch the game. It is not frozen because I can back up into the PCSXbox menu.

What could be the deal here? The game is on the hard drive.
