I upped a short, edited video clip and wave file for you. The video shows the game and some of the various voices he made. The wave is just audio of the clip for your convenience. ALL info will be sent to you via PM

PS: forgot to mention that the clip is about 60 megs

I remember my old ColecoVision very well.  I spent many hours playing Montezuma's Revenge and Super Action Football.  Fun Times.

Moved "Splash Screen - Load Xbe", "Splash Screen - Load Game", "Move Menu Sound", "Select Menu Sound", "Cancel Menu Sound", "Background Music", "Loop Background Music", "Font", "Transition Speed", and "Transition Effect" from the "Configure Skin" menu into a seperate "General Settings Menu".

Added "Select Skin Configuration Used" and "Save Skin Configuration as" to the "Configure SKin" menu in place of the above moved options.  This allows multiple skin configurations in one skin allowing the user more "pre-defined" options on how a skin looks.  For example the placement of the games list and the preview screens.

Skin Configuration name is saved in the emu configuration ini file.

Fixed some bugs with the movie directory location routines. Darned C and it's crappy string handling. The problem lines didn't seem to affect anything (in the NES emu) but they were incorrect non-the-less.

Sprites now show when sizing the preview screens.

New option to "Force Game Screen Size/Position". There are two configurable screensizes. (To deal with multi-core systems like MekaX and XboyAdvance).  This will be useful when switching from HDTV to SDTV or vice versa. It will save the user the trouble of resizing the screens for something that is likely temporary.

I can't seem to get boulder dash to work for me simply because I cannot for the life of me figure out how to hit  the * button which starts the game.  How do I do something so simple like that?

Also how the hell do I get the forums topics to display properly? I have to click each reply line link to display the link...I want it so I can read each reply right after the other like most message boards have it

I honestly do not remember how AdamX had the controller mapped before I started working on it.  But I usually map the white and black key to "#" and "*" respectively.

No prob bro I'm here all week.  laugh.gif   Nice thing about the method I employed is that it is backward compatible with the old skins.  In fact you can even rename the directories with no issues, just as long as you keep the numbers the same.  Since the name kinda makes it clear what the sprite is.

Actually I'd like to thank cospefogo for bringing the filter issue to my attention again.  For some reason I thought they were already messed up.  But it's possible I changed something.

Although at the moment I'm a bit puzzled why the filters are messed up.  I looked thru commonfuncs and didn't see anything that I may have accidently altered.  That only leaves a couple functions in each emulators .cpp file.  But I figure if the behavior is affecting both atarixlbox AND a7800x something must have been altered somewhere.  It may take me a while to figure out what though.

Hurrah hurrah!
Great news MadMad...
I am happy to be useful for the progress of the emulators.

And yes, the filter problem happens only in AtariLXbox and a7800x.
AdamX MadMad Edition does not suffer from it.

Cospefogo.

The one thing good that did come out of my horrible experience with Virtual Boy testing is that there were five VB commercials with the pack.....  I have plenty of commercials for different systems and I know there are a ton more out there.

What do you think about adding the ability to watch videos in the emu to watch these commercials madmab?

I don't even know if it's possible with the XBox limitations.  Maybe we'd have to convert them to .xmv just like we do the previews, and then add a feature in the emu for watching the commercials if you have videos in your "Commercials" folder.  I have about 200 commercials (mainly for Atari systems).

Let me know what you think.

I still don't get what are these overlays people are talking about.
Matter of fact, I guess I know "what" they are - some kind of thing colored sheet
with pertinent game stuff to be use over the original Coleco game pad, right?
But don't need to explain the real coleco thing - google can tell me everything - I will reasearch.

But now I  am just curious about how this can be used on the emulator?
What is the use of it? I need to download them from somewhere to be able to use?
How do I see this overlay stuff on AdãoX?

(Adam = Adão in portuguese... ha ha.)

Hey madmab,

About them videos.... some of them have (alt) videos too.  I don't see any difference most of the time and anything different is subtle.  Are you just leaving these as my judgement call?

I will probably have a few more requests if any of the homebrew and other new ones are any good.  I haven't looked at any of them, but I plan to test them all out by Friday.

Let me know what you want me to do with the videos.

Later,
