What's the point?  If they were all jammed together it would make everything confusing, bulky, and possibly slow things down.  There are already emulators that do these things great on their own.  Having them all in one would be a pain in the ***.

Still no luck with Astroboy- The Omega Factor.  Or Guardian Heroes for that matter...  all I get is a white screen.

Anyone?

Sure you haven't just got bad roms of Astroboy and Guardian Heroes? Mine work fine with default settings.

Are you putting them in the proper folders and naming them EXACTLY as the original ROM?

I love to use the XBox controller to play the games in my big TV.

But i hate to navigate between folders checking CROPPED names of my games, I like the file listing options of Xbox Media Center (i use it as dashboard and main player).

It list the files order by name, date & size, it allow me to view files as thumbnails or a list of files (rotating the name of the file if is bigger than the text area).

The file listing of Xboyadvance isn't customizable, the default skin waste half screen to show not so useful info and in bold format make the game dificult to read.

Please, add a 'windowed mode' of the game running, so, we can check for options or read the text file while whe're playing (adding controls to handle that  shouldn't be so dificult)

And for last, there's a way to run xboyadvance with a game withouth showing any menu?
and map the 'switch to menu' as 'switch to dashboard'?

Like:
default.xbe f:/path/to/game.gba menu=off load_save=yes

or something like that.

Saludos

It is customisable. You can edit up your own image and replace it (to get rid of the Screenshots box, for instance) and you can edit how wide it displays the names.

For example, with my skin the default rom selection screen looks like this:
http://img.photobuck...mino/select.png

My own edited image looks like this:
http://img.photobuck...select_edit.png

I took the image from the main menu, coloured over the GBA image in the background, and copied the small one from the original roms menu image and made it smaller to place at the top center of the edited image. Then using the skin configuration in the emulator I changed it so that the rom names display right across the lighter area in the middle. It takes a little trial and error to get that set correctly, but there you go.

Hi there.   I installed Xboyadvance for the first time last night and I have to say I was impressed.  We've used the PC version for a while now and it works well but the XBOX seems to do an even better job.

I do have one question though.   When copying my ROM files to the XBOX (via FTP) it stopped after 256 ROMs had been copied and refused to do any more.   Is there a 256 file limit in a single directory?   It seems a little low but given that 256 is a significant number in binary I thought it may well be the case.  512, 1024 etc would have been nicer :-)

If there is no way around the 256 file limit I'm assuming I can create multipe ROM directories and just select the one I want at startup.   It was getting too late last night to try that.   Maybe tonight ......

the per-folder file limit is 4096, as was posted on the first page of this thread.

Hmmm.  That is interesting.  I wonder why it wouldn't allow any more than 256 ROMs to be tranferred via FTP then.   I'll have to play with it some more and see what I can come up with.
