That's odd.
I loaded Last Ninja 1,2,3,Remix and Tiger Mission and left them running each for 15-20 minutes and I got no skipping whatsoever.  blink.gif

It's a pity the sound skipping wasn't discovered in an earlier version of ViceX, maybe then there would have been a much better chance that X-Port would have fixed the problem.  sad.gif

It was mentioned Tanas, but XPort moved on really quick to another emulator. Last Ninja (1/remix/2/3) was one of the games I tried it out on, all the games my end have that annoying stutter. I don't know what kind of setup you have, but if you have the sound coming out through an external amplifier it's a lot more easier to notice, also if you ever use a set of headphones it's unmissable.

I don't mean to bring it up and annoy you so you're consciously looking out for it & spoiling your enjoyment, so I'm sorry for that.

It seems that some games have some skipping afterall on my setup aswell.
I tried the new Tiger Mission +10 crack from Wanderer/The Crypt and I get skipping in that, but the old Yeti crack works fine.  blink.gif

Ok, so it seems there is some problem i guess.

Does everyone have the same infrequent (around 1 minute i think) very short skip that i do?
As i said, it's not bad enough to bother me.

On average it's around every 20 to 40 seconds odd. It happens with whatever games I'm playing. Sometimes it does take a little longer like a minute or so before I notice the stutter.

I've found that the sound doesn't stutter when running games in NTSC, so it's obviously a timing issue when running in PAL.

A strange thing about running game in NTSC it that it might fix the sound problem, but now it's the scrolling that stutters... weird.
Try the Great Giana Sisters and you will see what I mean.

And can anyone tell me why I cant edit my posts?

I think there's a time limit for editing posts.

Yeah I know all too well that nasty NTSC stutter, it's one of the main reasons I like playing C64 on the Xbox with a TV set because the PC versions suffer the same on modern day monitors. There was a hacked version of Vice64 going about that smoothed things up a little, but it leads to other complications and bugs, so it becomes a real pain in the arse as it were.

I've always had problems getting games to run in NTSC mode, I found hardly any of them compatible, I don't know why this is, but while I'm here what are you're favourite C64 games?
