Ok, here's the situation. I have a DuoX2 GS blue chip installed on my v1.2 xbox, with XMBC installed from slayers evoX auto-installer. I can't get the network to work at all. I use a crossed cable, and the led is indicating that the cable is connected. On the pc, the network is up.
For my internet connection I have a wireless nic.
How do I set up the computer settings? According to
http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/network.php, it says
"go into the properties of the nic that is connected to the internet. check off obtain a IP address automatically."
Now if I do that, it wants me to add an ip manually for the internet connection. What should I enter?
Next in the tutorial,
"now for the nic that is connected to the xbox. going into the properties. check off use the following IP.
Next, where it says IP address, enter: 192.168.0.1. Where it says Subnet Mask, enter: 255.255.255.0. , and where it says default gateway enter 192.168.0.1"
Check OFF?! If i check off 'use the following IP', I can't enter IP and subnetmask etc.
I dont understand much of this... I have tried everything I could think of. All tutorials and guides regarding networking pc -> xbox assumes that everything works out of the box.
Can anybody help me? All thoughts are appretiated.
