Thanks for the new build.

I find myself hitting T3CH website more and more since the two week thing.
I only update approx every three weeks, but I like to see what changes and
fixes have been made. Really addicted!
Really looking forward to my 360 having this level of software one day.
I am using my xbox 1 everyday via XBMC, and my 360 once a week at weekends.

Keep on keeping my xbox1 fresh.

Thanks Again for your time and hard work.
As before two weeks is great with me.

I updated to this build from a december build. I can't find the options to add bookmarks I think it was called under skin settings.... I liked when I went to My Programs and having Games/Emulators/Programs listed on the left hand side... has it been moved somewhere else...

So it looks like it was removed because they are too lazy to maintain that part of the code.

I just find it funny that they no longer maintain the xlink kai support in XBMC (which has been broken for a long time) and want to remove it. Yet they still leave it.

Then they take a useful (still working) feature and remove it.

Ok i dont know where to submit errors or problems, but here is one,  when removing a thumbnail or changing a thumbnail for a bookmark or a subfolder i.e.  TV shows <- Problem   TV Shows\Simpsons <- No Problems
TV Shows\Simpsons\Season 1 <- Problem.  The cached version will stay.  When manually chosing a thumbnail, the old one will stay, when adding a new image called folder.jpg or season 1.jpg the cached version will stay.  Not sure what else there is to do.  This seems to be a bug.  XBMC should remove and change the tumbnail when instructed to do so.....thanks

I'm disgusted at your comment!

XBMC is developed by developers that are kind enough to share there work and they work on it in there own time. If a developer wants a feature "he adds it" if a user suggests a worthwhile idea then a developer takes it into consideration and looks at the benefits as a whole, if positive then we all get it.

You want KAI fixed?
#1 - Either grab a book on c++ and we will happily accept a patch.
#2 - Wait for a developer to see it as worthwhile taking the time to fix.
OR
#3 - SHUT UP!

Wasn't the bookmarks system replaced with the favourites system?  huh.gif

Is there someone who gets the T3CH Upgrader script to work? It keeps complaining to me the extraction path does not exist after downloading the new build while the path exists perfectly well..the T3CH Upgrader script even made the path itself. Any solution for his?

T3CH - Thanks for the great work!

I have just softmodded my first XBOX and this is fantastic!  I hope to become someone who can add value as I become more familiar.

However, I do need to ask a question or two, and please forgive me if this is a newbie question:

Is anyone else having problems getting their ripped DVD recognized by the IMDB link?

Background: My network shares are fine, internet connectivity is no problem.  I am running the latest build in the dashboard (not apps) subdirectory.  I am signed up for the T3CH RSS feed, and have successfully used the "T3CH Upgrader script" to do the upgrade on my system.  MP3's are scanned into the DB and show up great in the library.  For DVD ripping to my network storage I use ANYDVD and DVD Shrink.  I can store in both File Format and ISO modes.

Problem:  The previous version of T3CH XBMC read the fractured VOB files, and came back saying all my videos were the same "whitesnake" music video ("my... my... my" ugh!  mad.gif ).

So, I tried to store in ISO mode, with the name of the ISO being the same as teh DVD Disk.

In either case, no IMDB (or other DB) connectivity.

1) Is this lack of connectivity a known issue?

2) Is there a best way to store the DVD rip so that it will be recognised & catagoried?

With great appreciation!  V.

yup, the bug still exists.
I removed all cache and everything from the 13-01-08 version and tried a clean install of 27-01-08 and imdb still doesn't work.
Bit of a bummer. Specially when you have to re-do over 200 movies.

So I hope T3CH doesn't wait 2 more weeks to release the next version. And that this bug's fixed in the next version. smile.gif

So that scraper bug hasn't been resolved? I didn't update to the build before last, so I thought I'd do this one...oops.

Nope, still there sadly.
I'll go for GasGivers release from 10-01-08 instead this time.

Thanks T3CH. Two weeks should be fine. I only update my boxes about every 4-6 months.

agreed, 2 weeks would be good.

i am slowly losing more and more time to work and don't update as frequently since everything just works so well as is.  however, i am always scanning the updates for new features and usually will update them on a test box before unleashing the new build on the machines throughout the rest of the house...

a big thanks again...

as an aside, i recently installed the oldest version of xbmc i could find in my pc backups and it was dated 2004-07-29...wow things have changed in huge ways, thanks again to the whole team!

thx for the new relase t3ch and i also think that an update every 2-3 weeks should be fine ... plus it might give u guys more time to fix and test some bugs that might occur..

Yeah, 'cause less people doing the actual bug testing is surely going to speed that process...  rolleyes.gif
