Can anyone help me.I am trying to install xbmc and am running into problems.I got softmod installed and when i ftp xbmc folder to e apps i restart and get fatal error guisettings error ect..i wonder if when i unrar my build XBMC SVN 2007-12-03 t3ch the files dont look like some of the tutorials ive seen they have about 10 folders none of which i see in mine plus a few that are.this seems all f'd up i followed the read me file and i dont even have a tools file in mine wtf?

Could you possibly be less specific? I think I might have understood some of that.

I mean, if you'd listed the files you DO have as opposed to the ones you think should be there, I might nearly have been tempted to help. And we can't have that.

Whats your softmod? Kayzies ndure?

If your using Krayzies, then your XBMC transfer should appear similar to the screenshot below. Transferring your XBMC build like this requires you to set up the shortcuts. See the other screenshot, which shows how to configure the shortcuts.

A t3ch build will have a _tools folder, which contains the shortcuts.

Shortcut set up: (if you have an existing file named default.xbe in your dashboard folder, rename the old default.xbe to one of the fallback application names, such as evoxdash.xbe Read the manual for additional info --> LINK)

Bad advice.

Instead, you should rename the old default.xbe to one of the fallback application names (such as evoxdash.xbe) so that if they screw something up when updating XBMC at a later date (such as deleting E:\Apps\XBMC and not re-uploading it completely) they still have FTP access available.

ok thanks for replying so quick now i used Softmod installer delux v2.0 XS Filter - Links to Xbox Warez and Torrents ** that went fine.But then after unraring xbmc -2.0.1 final fat t3ch i get this file containing 1,483 objects. The one you show I cannot seem to locate  Ive tried dling multiple xbmc files from xbins and i cant get that file from them when i unrar any of them i imagine its a compiling thing but tutorials just say uunrar and ftp to xbox e apps.So it looks to me i can install no problem if I can just get my hands on a xbmc with the correct files . ?

Yep, I should have mentioned that. I'll incorporate that into my original post.

Hey great everything is great with xbmc its fantastic.I now have only one problem I have a new drive local disk Q on my desktop it has a red question mark in front and i cant access or delete.Before I remember being able to access it it only had xbmc related folders inside.How can I get rid of this? its an eyesore maybe ill try a restart.O yeah i have unlocker but that wont unlock it and it unlocks everything.Thanks for input on everything praise xbmc!
