"Won't load" isn't very descriptive.
But I assume it hangs to a black screen after going through the usual flubber boot sequence? Usually means you tried to update while running XBMC and now it's busted. Don't do that.
If so, try holding down white + Y as the system loads. With any luck it'll boot into recovery mode (with FTP access) and you can re-copy XBMC to your drive.
If that doesn't work, your original install was too old. If you don't wanna use the DVD drive then you could try booting with that open, depending on your setup the console might boot to a secondary dash (a feature some softmod installers provide. Are you softmodded? Why don't people specify these things?).
Plan C involves taking the HDD out and putting it in your PC. Depending on whether your drive is locked, you may need to hotswap or use an
EEPROM reader.
Xplorer360 will let you mess with the files.
Thanks for the input mate... here are the results:
Plan A) get the flubber screen, microsoft logo on the bottom pops up, nothing happens... all whilst holding Y + white button
) I have a hard mod (alladin, don't know model number). Open-disc does not work.
Plan C) Alrighty, so I do have a swapped in hard drive in it, I can assume that it has been locked then, correct? I believe it's a WD and it is 250 gb, can't specifically remember though as that was a while ago. I do not have the hard drive password though unfortunately. Will I need to use that EEPROM trick then to access the files?
