I have done some searching through the forums and i havent been able to find anyone with the problem that i have. at a LAN the other night my xbox disc drive started spitting in and out on its own accord. it has done this before, but only a few times and it stopped when i turned the xbox on and re booted. it wouldnt stop when i turned it back on this time, so i turned the chip off and it continued to do it.
i played games off the hdd for the rest of the night with the drive popping in and out and turned it off when finished.
the next morning when i tried to turn it back on the disc tray wouldnt open at all! the light flashes as if it is about to open but never does. has anyone heard of this prob or has any ideas about how to fix it. i think its a thomson drive from memory (i cant open it to find out).
