I am currently having an issue with streaming a http video stream across my network (wired) to my XBox. It used to work perfectly until recently.
I am streaming from the P2P TV software - Sopcast.
I just have an M3U playlist with the address of the stream. It buffers up fine and streams well but it'll randomly drop out every minute or so which is extremely annoying.
The stream works fine streaming from the computer with Sopcast to any other computer on the network without any dropping out.
For those who know Sopcast I just simply use the address of
http://192.168.1.64:8902/ or
http://192.168.1.64:8902/tv.asf.
Is there any reason that XBMC would have an issue streaming when it never used to? The stream is only ~300kbps so the network speed isn't an issue since it can stream DVDs and XVid stuff quite easily.
The XBMC version is T3CH build, not sure what date though, but any recent updates I've done haven't sorted the problem.
It is just a WMV/ASF stream @ 320x240.
Any ideas?
i also had this problem, i had to change the cache settings lower 1028kb i think....experiment with cache settings, its the very bottom option MISC/OTHER i think its called
