What Is The Maximum Setting <thumbsize> In Advancedsettings.xml?
« on: November 02, 2007, 06:18:00 AM »

Hi!

I just got an HDTV the other day and now I'm wondering what the maximum value of the <thumbsize> is? I've changed it a bit and the pictures look way better on the tv but there seems to be a limit on when changing the value no longer matters?

512

I run xTV skin with a small (resolution) bkgrnd image, tilted artowrk, just 4:3,  List1 mode (always),
and 512 works a charm, still fast scrolling through albums and videos.

In HD I couldn't say, you could try 512, but mess about with it until you find an optimum for you.

don't forget too that using your xbox in HD means it takes up more memory, and especially if you increase the thumbnail sizes. If 512 is too much you will start noticing thumbs not showing up, then you should know that you need to decrease the size... people say 384 is a great setting for HD....
