Xmbc Library Mode
« on: October 27, 2007, 03:22:00 AM »

Hi all,

just a small problem really - formatted my pc recently, setup all the network shares for music/vids/pics etc, everything working ok, can see folders/play music etc...

only prob is when i try to use library mode - i right click on the folder where all my (tagged) mp3s are, select 'scan to library', a progress bar appears (i.e. it seems to be scanning music folders), but when i press 'Library Mode' it says 'No scanned information for this view'...i previously had the library mode working before - maybe i need to clear it out?

ive tried the 'Clean Library' option in the Config settings, and removed the 08face folders from U/T data and cleared the cache folder on xbox hdd + tried searching forums but get errors when loading search results doh!

if anyone has any suggestions that would be v.much appreciated!!!!  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

cheers,
Matt

I had the same issue recently after updating xbmc.  Try going to your database files (probably E/Apps/XBMC/UserData/Database/) and delete them.  Once you delete them, try and rescan your media to the library.  I know it seems stupid but it worked like a charm for me.

Note: if i remember correctly, xbmc wouldn't let me delete the movies db but unleashx did.  if first you don't succeed, try another dash.

best of luck  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
