I just bought a new xbox and added it to my network.  I installed the latest build of XBMC and it is connected to the network just fine.

It can "see" all the files stored on my NAS.  It sees .avi files, it sees .mp3 files, it sees the .jpg picture files.

but unlike my other two Xbox's on this network, the new one WILL NOT PLAY ANYTHING.  Pressing play for .avi's doesn't give me any error, or attempt to open the file, it just does nothing--as if I never pressed play.  Ditto for .mp3's.

Picture files....it says "error reading file" that's about the only clue I have as to what is wrong.


Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem here?  I would do a search but I don't know what to search for with such a general problem.
