I think you could be right that it's a trick of the eye about the icon changing size... that said, it's not because it's brighter. It's because the whole selected bar moves 1px upwards on selection. smile.gif

Rotations in non-square coordinate systems (eg PAL16x9) would not be aspect correct all the way around. Affected rotated text and images. Those skins relying on the old behaviour may have to do some slight alterations.

Can someone,  explain the required work that needs to be done,  its quite a major feature in my skin, and now the knobs are bent....    ooooh  errr!   wink.gif

Advise on how to fix would be appreciated..

Broads: All images will keep their aspect ratio on rotation.  That's all.  Easiest way to do set it up is to make the images square, and then set <aspectratio>keep</aspectratio>.  That way it'll be a perfect square no matter which rotation angle it's at.

I've been having some trouble with the DVDPlayer... Every now and then it'll lock the controls when you try to use the tracking, or end the video. After that XBMC won't respond to anything until the video's played right through (the input is discarded entirely, as opposed to being queued).

There doesn't seem to be much of a pattern to which files will cause it, or when. For a long time I thought it was specific to the FLV format, but then I realised that just happened to be about the only file type I use with the DVDPlayer anyway.

I posted a couple of logs in a (now pretty much unrelated) error report.

I guess this isn't a bug as its been there for a while but why is it when you run the Xbox in 16:9 (on a 16:9 TV), and calibrate the screen, but 16:9 videos have black bands at the top and bottom. The same DVD run in any other player fills the screen. Is it because we have a PAL system? Do other people get this?

When sort by year or rating in the video library, 'the' is not ignored even after the "ignore tokens when sorting" option is enabled.  Is this option supposed to only work in 'sort by name' only? thnks

DownUnderDan:

You've calibrated out all the (intended) overscan in the image.  In order to keep the aspect ratio, obviously the height will be reduced the corresponding amount.

If you don't like it, either don't calibrate as much, or alter the AR using one of the stretch modes (Y).
