1) enable nav sounds

They are already enabled. I went there and noticed that SPLASH.WAV
does not work when we using 3/3 Bursting Bubbles sounds.

2) why dont you look around in the menus instead of just typing a rant here? guess what's sitting in skin options.

Sorry, absolutely my fault. Anyway, thank you for you polite answer!

3) all skin - do it yourself.

Is that possible to at least point me to where should I start? Which XML file?
Thank you!!!

4) eventually - not a priority.

Oh... Sad to know it. Anyway, thanks again for your care.

seeing that it's the HOME screen, i'd say home.xml would be a good start.

Sorry if it's a NOOB question, but what are the (good) reasons for installing these latest svc releases, instead of the latest "stable" release 2.0.1 ?

Pros:
More features, tends to work faster and is usually more reliable. The last FAT release is quite a few months old now, so there's a big difference between that and the latest SVN.

Cons:
With each SVN release some features are fixed or improved, but others may be broken; Sometimes important functions (such as the ability to boot XBE files) won't work in a given release.

And also, how come the content is smaller than the "fat" version of 2.0.1? Did they take stuff out?

Most of the file size differences you'll see have to do with the size of the skins included in the builds. They don't relate much to the functionality present in the package.

A very big thanks for this release! Keep them coming  rolleyes.gif

No problems discovered so far for this release... XBE's launches fine! (i'm using X2 5035 bios and did a clean install)

I do like the animation when strarting XBMC.... it's like.... tatatadaaaaaa  biggrin.gif

I will check if XLinkKai has problems with autostarting, as mentioned before by another poster.

all my xbe's launch fine if you rename them default.xbe instead of, for example, avalaunch.xbe or evolution.xbe.

i also wanted to confirm that the latest build does not mount the memory unit but the one before it works fine.

i love not having to go the the ms dash to turn off 480p, 720p and 1080i now when i want to use AMT.  Regarding that, if you turn off the HD settings in XBMC and then turn them back on and try to change the resolution to either 720 or 1080, XBMC freezes and you have to turn off the xbox and turn it back on.  If you restart XBMC everything works fine.

Does a clean install include removal of your user data folder? Thats the only thing I havent treid yet, and still no xbes launch.

It's strange, I do a clean install in that I ftp XBMC over as XBMC_new, then I delete the User Data folder in the new directory, copy over my User Data folder from the existing install, then I rename XBMC to XBMC_old and XBMC_new to XBMC and reboot.

I don't have any .xbe issues (running a 1.6 w/ X2 5035 BIOS), but I do have the thumb issue.  Usually for the thumbs, I make the change to the custom thumb that I want and use the File Manager to delete the current thumbs directory in the User Data folder.  When I browse, it picks up all the correct thumbnails that I set.

I just copied the t3ch build across to my Apps folder and laucnhed it from EvoX and have the same problem re xbes.  So it can't even be related to the way i've updated my xbmc as that was as that copy wouldnt even have had my user data folder to cock stuff up.

Still confused....

How do so many things get messed up in XBMC builds?  Alot of the issues things were working fine on the March 12th build.  These last 2 builds have nothing but major issues.

I can probably search thru the past release threads...but what previous build has the least amount of bugs reported?

Its called progress  dry.gif  when you add new stuff it sometimes dosn't work 100% when you change existing stuff to let the new stuff work you sometimes break it.   If you don't like that things are broken then don't use svn builds and wait for the stable builds simple as that.  no one tells you to update on a weekly basis everytime t3ch release something, you do it because you think "Oh thats a cool new thing I want"  rolleyes.gif The SVN is the development platform for xbmc it was never never meant to be a place to upload stuff that works 100% as soon as it goes in, would be nice if that was the case but it isn't.

When highlighting filenames in list mode that have long file names, one can see just a bit more of the name before it starts scrolling.

It happens in PM3 and MC360. I realise it's more of a feature than a bug, but I thought I'd mention it.

It would look better if they both matched up.

File - very.long.filename.that.does.not.fit.the.space.avi
NH  - very.long.filename.that.does.not.fi
H    - very.long.filename.that.does.not.fit

NH = None Highlighted
H   = Highlighted

I hope I get my point across?!
