This build broke my ability to run .xbe files.  Pretty weird, definitely a localized issue.  I installed it a few times though to make sure and whenever i ran a game or homebrew app it just restarted xbmc.  Very strange.  Downgrading to the 3-12 release fixed it up.

Did you do a Clean Install?

 - Do not copy/import your old XBMC\UserData folder
 - Delete all files in E:\CACHE
 - Delete all files on X: Y: Z: drives
 - Delete all files in E:\UDATA\0face008
 - Delete all files in E:\TDATA\0face008

I was getting same problem reloading XBMC when launching XBE's.  I forgot to delete the files listed.  I used FlashFXP to ftp delete those files, and after reboot I could launch XBE's fine.

I did a clean install except for the xbmc\userdata folder - but dude no way am I deleting that folder.  It's all sorts of customized and I really shouldn't have to.  Hopefully the next release will come out soon and fix this up.

To this day I still don't understand why the Filemanager and Weather items haven't yet traded positions in PM III's main menu. I mean, is the Weather more important than the File Manager?  huh.gif

If you ask me - yes. But that's personal taste. Why don't you just edit it yourself? It's not THAT diffiult to figure out. And special wishes usually require some effort. smile.gif

sleeping.gif Of course that it's a quick edit but I think that it's time to change it by default.

Tried twice to compile from latest SVN, and the 'Build.bat' has failed building the 'default.xbe' twice now. Any ideas, or if it's just on my end? I'm trying to find the log, but I might have deleted it (was mad).

lawdawg0931

checkout the svn again now and try compiling again.  I just asked about the same issue on irc and was told that that issue should be corrected now.

Thanks Joshatdot! My last update went fine without performing a clean install, that's why i didn't tried that.
The following was enough for running XBE's again:

- delete all files in E:\CACHE

- delete all files in E:\UDATA\0face008

- delete all files in E:\TDATA\0face008

- Turn off Xbox and power it on again

What i did with the /Userdata:

I copied back my thumbnails of my music. Getting those again from AllMusic...No Way! But XBMC nicely added them to my music... so no problem at all. Setting back my personal settings only took me a few minutes.

I love this version, though i was wondering if its possible to add an 'wraplist view' to programs that works with wide icons... The finishing touch for XBMC  cool.gif

since this is fixed in SVN, might we see a new build soon?  I'd really like to try out the new PM3 skin stuff, but don't want to break my .xbe support.

Um.  It won't let me edit my retardedly misquoted post.  I meant to choose this one.  This didn't clear up the .xbe problem.  Hope there's a new release soon.

I have also noticed that when you change an icon, it doesn't update when you exit out to screen. (IE- You change an icon to something else ,it shows it, but when you exit , it still shows the previous icon.
Also, i can't for the life of me seem to get the TV shows scraper working with the rev8233 XBMC build. I've started fresh with a new, clean install, and it still doesn't work. When i scan, it always finds 'Dark Season' show for each subfolder instead (Season 1, Season 2,etc.), and inside those folders, 'Show Episode Info' option is missing. (Using "Heroes\Season 1\Heroes - S01E01 - ..." naming.) But as soon as i put back on the most previous build, it works fine, put back on Rev.8264, and it stops working again. Don't know what could cause this. Every naming convention working with previous build, doesn't work at all with Rev.8264.
Am i the only one having this problem? I hope not. I tried it on both my Xbox, and it doesn't work on either one. Yet the previous build works just fine.

Here's how I fixed the reboot/reload XBMC when launching *.XBE's

1. I repeatedly tried to launch UnleashX from Filemanager.  I think I got lucky one time and was able to get it going.

2. If that does not work, use CASH 1.1 or Slayers 2.8 to boot and gain FTP access.

3. Once you have loaded a different Dash, delete:

 E:\CACHE\*.*
 E:\TDATA\0face008\*.*
 E:\UDATA\0face008\*.*
 X:\*.*
 Y:\*.*
 Z:\*.*

4. Reboot to XBMC

That wont do anything its a code problem and has been fixed (we hope) in the current svn so wait for a new t3ch then try again or compile your own
