I'm trying to figure out what the preferred way of listening to music is with XBMC
I have all my mp3's categorized correctly tag-wise.
The built in library lacks some auto-scan feature as far as I can tell. It's a bit cumbersome to have to scan each time a new album has been added. Is there any way around this?
Is Itunes a better solution for my needs?

I just have XBMC connected to an SMB share on my laptop for music.

There isn't even a need for iTunes.

Same here. SMB share to my "My Music" folder set to browse by album cover.
