IMDB lookup doesnt work on mine either. it was working last night though. might it have something to do with the changes in IMDB layout? they recently changed it so can other's check this issue? thanks!

Mine's also not working. However, mine doesn't lockup it just can't find any movie. It did work a day ago.

Yeah, IMDB did a major overhaul of the site. Looks very nice...

please wait a few days/weeks and install a new XBMC which supports the new imdb site... this ain't the fault of any xbmc developer... it's just because imdb changed it's site (and they have every right tyo do that without informing the xmbc community...)

replace system/scrapers/video/imdb.xml in your xbmc dir.

Thanks very much for that, although it doesn't seem to find movies as well as the last one. It won't find the island, deja vu, crank or waiting. But thanks anyway...

I've put the new .xml on my xbox and I still cannot scrape any info. Now, I've never actually used this before since I just got my Xbox, but this is what I am doing - and perhaps I am an idiot and doing it wrong but I can't seem to find any real guide to how this is supposed to work.

I'm running 2007-02-18 version of XBMC with the MC360 skin. I go to my Media blade and click on videos. I go to my Samba share, highlight the folder the .avi is in and click the white button on my contoller and choose Set Content... And the Xbox just sits there. I have to hit the backbutton to get control of the Xbox back.

I've tried highlighting the .avi itself but I don't get the Set Content option (I get a manually add to database - which I believe didn't work when I tried to add the movie name).

I've edited a .nfo with the address to the IMDB website of the movie and that still didn't work.

Not sure what I am doing wrong. LOL Can anyone either give me a clue (I seem to be short on them at the moment) or a link to a webpage describing in detail what I should do, and the results that I should see?

Ive installed the new scraper and it works great, except it just refuses to find some movies. For instance with the old one it would find the thumbnail for "Crank" and "Deja Vu", but just no information. So with the scraper updated it doesn't find these movies at all. Other movies it won't find are "the island" and "saw 3".

Any ideas??

Same issue here. The new scraper is getting good results about 90% of the time.

Try doing a manual search for "Capote". No results

Try doing a manual search for "Contact". Ten results, including "Babylon 5: The Gathering" and "Lionheart", but no "Contact".

I try those same searches in IMDB and get the expected (proper) results.
