When say for example using Clearity, and selecting a custom BG, the skin lags 10-15 seconds before actually applying the background.

Just updated XBMC and Clearity and i don't see this speed issues your are talking about, changing custom BG works in a second!

I just want to point out that I don't code/develop xbmc, I only make builds. But see README_1st.txt how to make a valid bugreport!

OK sorry. Was just trying to inform someone. My mistake bub. smile.gif

SMB is fine.

One bug I've found is that I can't select Toronto, ON Canada in the Weather settings.  US cities are fine.  Weird.

I'm having a new issue with this build:

I have my pictures set to play as a slideshow as my screensaver (over my network.)  I also have the option to "use visualization if playing audio" left UNchecked so that my slideshow plays then as well.  After 5 minutes (my setting) the screen goes dark, and the music cuts off.  After a couple of seconds I see my pictures displaying, and the next track in my plalist starts playing, only to stop after a few seconds and jump to the next track, etc.  All the while, some (most) pics appear only partially rendered on screen.

I'm running 720p 16:9 - I have crossfading enabled (6 seconds) - need anything else?  Anyone else experiencing similar issues?

I also had the weather problem...

In the end I had to manually type in the code of my city for it acknowledge. Weird thing was I could pick any other city except my own.

Also having problems with movie imdb...

If I pick the same film title I had selected before update it won't download any info for it. Again it will let me pick another and display thumb/info

Seems like it doesn't like anything that was there before even though I completely deleted everything out of my xbmc folder.

hi there. hope you enjoy the website. I didn't have time to test the build with the new site and all, so this error slipped by me. a proper is up on website, if you don't want to download another 54MB, fix the error in English/Strings.xml (Strind > String) yourself.

/T3CH

What do you suggest for us that gets a black screen and unable to boot?

I cannot even get to ftp to fix the error in Strings.xml.

Please help!

IMDb doesnt work properly here as well.

In list of movies where you are asked to select movie you are looking for IMDb info, first movie in the list never works - when you press OK nothing happens, but if you select any other suggested movie name in the list you will get info for that one. But thats no good as usualy the one you are looking for is at the first place sad.gif

Actually...

Going back through it, your're right.

Whatever selection is first can't be selected. Everything I want comes up first. Same with the weather problem.

There is a PROPER Built out but ther are some issues with PAPLAYER. Some mp3s play, some not... with MPLAYER all is fine but PAPLAYer seems to be the default audio player... <-- BUG? (thought that mplayer was the default audio player).

will make my own built tomorrow to see if this bug is there...

Hi,

I am unfortunately still having the same problems with SMB streaming from a windows XP box as I did with the January 1 build.  I will try to post a debug log shortly.  The symptoms are exactly the same as they were from the last build - I can get a list of my shared folders but cannot browse any files, much less stream them.  Streaming files from a NAS using SMB works just fine.  This functionality first broke during the Christmas build from what I can tell.  The 2.01 release does stream fine from XP.

I've tried to work around this using TVirsity's UPnP streamer, but it doesn't handle files in OGM or MKV containers very well, and some files can't be fast forwarded/rewound, which is pretty inconvenient.

If I can provide any more info that will help resolve this issue, please let me know and I will be happy to provide it.
