INSTALL NOTES from T3CH readme/nfo:
QUOTE

* APPLICATION INSTALL
- Fresh Install: Transfer _whole_ XBMC folder to your APPS folder (or where you want it).
- Upgrade: Backup the XBMC\UserData folder. Transfer whole XBMC folder to Xbox.  Overwrite UserData folder with your backed up copy.

* DASHBOARD INSTALL (SOFTMODS)
ARE NOT COVERED IN THIS README, SEE http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=406656

* DASHBOARD INSTALL
- Option 1. Team XBMC's shortcut tool.
It's included in the _tools folder as <<SHORTCUT by TEAM XBMC.xbe>> + <<SHORTCUT by TEAM XBMC.cfg>>.
Instructions here: http://www.xboxmediacenter.com/wiki/index....=As_a_Dashboard (Option 1).
Rename the <<SHORTCUT by TEAM XBMC.xbe>>+.cfg & also EDIT the .cfg so it matches your config.
See APPLICATION INSTALL above.
- Option 2. Thanks to an app called 'Team UIX's Xbe Shortcut Maker v1.0' by JbOnE, it's now easy...
Transfer contents of XBMC folder (this is VERY important since the tool is hardcoded) TO "E:\APPS\XBMC\". Rename <<SHORTCUT by TEAM UIX.xbe>> to something your bios can boot  (see http://www.xboxmediacenter.com/wiki/index....=As_a_Dashboard or read your BIOS README) and transfer to location your mod solution boots. No need to fiddle with HOME tag anymore,  and future upgrades you need not to worry about this file (unless you move XBMC).

* UPGRADE TIPS
If you're updating from a VERY old/bad build you may get issues. Follow these simple rules:
- Replace (FTP OVERWRITE) all files in your XBMC folder with fresh ones from your new build
- Delete old settings (from UserData/guisettings.xml)
- In some rare cases some of the database files in UserData/Database/*.db may need manual deletion (usually if they are very old). Note: This loses all per file settings you made with the old build!

I've been using the 2.0 build and havn't had any of those issues that had a bug fix (then again I havn't had to do those things much)

I'm waiting till the 2.01 version before I updated.  I'm finally getting all my settings setup the way I like it!

2 things:

-Repeat folders for music was great, is no more present?

-Would be great to have navigation sounds off, at least while playing music!

any other thing.....is just perfect... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/love.gif)

Okay after installing this new version the apple trailers script wouldnt work I keep on getting a message saying unable to properly load AMT.pk I was able to fix it by installing a older version of the script that I found in XBMCscripts

and when Installed the Fat version of XBMC 2.0 it added a bunch of shortcuts to scripts like YOUTUBE and MY TV
in the right hand corner of the screen but those have now disappeared

Did you backup the UserData folder as instructed?

I haven't had any problems.  I don't think I'll be upgrading.

I dont think I am going to update either. I enjoy XBMC just the way it is, though I will definately update by 2.0.1, unless BB's skin MC360 gets done before that.
I need another xbox for XBMC!

I would like to see some more xbox releases from the scene, seems like all the attention went to X360, and homebrew isn't even running on it yet. Seems like all I have to look forward to is XBMC, so thank you Team XBMC for keeping the xbox alive and bitching. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I don't mean to be an ass... but...

Part of the same quote from the install instructions:

Overwrite UserData folder with your backed up copy.

yah I know it was stupid of me to post that I tried editing my post but I didnt see any way to do it

But anyways I did copy the userdata that I backed back onto the xbox and those script shortcuts are still not there
I looked through the XBMC manual to try and figure out a way to do it myself but I did not find anything

at one point in time, xBmc would allow the user to que Shoutcast radio stations and create a playlist out of those. does anyone know of a way to make this happen? for the past few months, xBmc hasn't allowed this function.

also, if we're able to record streaming audio, why are we not able to record streaming video?

other than the occasional script not working (CNN Browser), i really don't see a huge difference between the newer and older builds. either way, i still love xBmc and appreciate all those here on the Scene that help out folks like myself.

thanks!!

The script shortcut menu is called
DialogSubMenu.xml

and is located in the skin folder.  In PM it should be the PAL folder.  Restore your backed up copy or just edit the menu itself its pretty self-explanatory.

Has anyone had success with ReplayTV with this version?

repeat folders was taken out because it was a pita to maintain in code. enqueue stuff if you want to repeat.

i changed it so nav sounds are disabled during media playback by default.
