Advancedsettings.xml Help!
« on: October 02, 2006, 01:16:00 AM »

Hey - i'm trying to get my xbox to recognize radio streams (.pls files) as music.  When i go in to browse files on the xbox and select the KDHX.pls file (great radio station, by the way.  check it out - kdhx.org) it plays the stream just fine.  I'm just having trouble getting it to show up in the "music" section of XBMC.

So.  I made an "advancedsetings.xml" file.  I threw it in the "UserData" folder, just like the instructions (at http://www.xboxmediacenter.com/wiki/index....icextensions.3E if anyone wants to check them) say to.  No dice.

Here's what I put in the advancedsettings.xml file...

<advancedsettings>
   <musicextensions>
      <add>.pls</add>
   </musicextensions>
</advancedsettings>

So.  What am I doing wrong?  Why won't xbox see the .pls files I put on it when viewing in "Music"?

Thanks!

Hi (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Simple put this .pls file in your Playlist folder. XBMC allready know .pls Files.
If you want to record edit this playlist file and put shout:// everywere HTTP:// is.

In Database view look in the Folder Playlists.

Another thing to store it in a Folder like "Best Radio Stations" somewhere on XBOX Hdd and create a Shortcut in the Files view in Music.

Bye
