Some of the CBR's I have the thumbnail of the first jpg within it becomes the thumbnail for the file.  However thats only a couple of the CBR's I have that do that...and it looks like they were assigned those thumbnails in prio XBMC releases and kept them once I upgraded.   If I try the "regenerate thumbnails the thumbnail is lost and replaced with the standard XBMC default pic icon.  I'd like to assign an image(CBR's are comic books, I'd like to assign the cover of the particular issue as the thumbnail in XBMC) for each CBR I have.  Either this is no longer possible or I am clueless on how to accomplish it.  

CBR are RAR files with jpgs within them.  I have tried to put a tbn file of the same name with it, I have tried putting a tbn inside the cbr file. I have tried calling the file within the cbr folder.jpg.  I wish I could assign a thumbnail manually like I could with video files but that option doesnt exist in the "my picture' settings.  Is it no longer possible to get thumbnails for CBR files? And if it is can someone please tell me how?!

Thumbnail names need to be as follows:

If you have a group of CBRs in a folder and you want XBMC to display a thumbnail for that folder.  Your thumbnail needs to be in that folder and labeled folder.jpg.

If you want a custom thumbnail for a specific file (ie. MyFileName.cbr), then your thumbnail needs to be titled exactly the same as the file however with a .tbn extention.  MyFileName.tbn would be the thumb for MyFileName.cbr.

Make sure you have windows set to display common file extentions so you get a true extention change and dont wind up with a .jpg.tbn file.   Tools->Folder Options->View->Hide Known File Extentions (uncheck the box).

After changing the thumbs you want to clear the XBMC thumbnail cache....

XBMC\Userdata\Thumbnails\Programs

Delete the contents of the folder.

indeed this is a problem. i'll include it in the thumbloader so you'll get a thumb either autogenerated or file.tbn.

Please help me. my problem; im read comics xbmc/pictures/ Look is better but zoom problem. Right upper side small pictures to disturb.

Zip the comics up and rename the archives so they have a CBZ extension (or you can Rar the comics up, in which case you'd rename them with a CBR extension).

Use XBMC to view the new files, and the thumbnails won't be displayed.

If XBMC crashes, get a copy of "xbmc.old.log" (in your XBMC folder) and post the contents here.

Well, it looks like the image loader is requesting huge amounts of memory for some reason. Not sure if that's normal. What's the largest image file size we're dealing with here?

debug log might show more information.

if not, consider opening a debug report with the cbr attached. having them files makes it much easier for me to fix things

Hmm yes, im look large pictures. (2500x1200)

You get a debug log the same way you got the last one, only you have to hold down X+Y when XBMC starts.
