Xboxmediacenter - July 03rd 2006 Cvs Build
« Reply #30 on: July 05, 2006, 09:54:00 PM »

I just upgraded as well, everything is working well, but when I choose the dashboard option within XBMC it returns me to the xbox dash instead of my evo dash.  Is there somewhere I can change the path for the dash?

Also, where are all of the imdb info and thumbnail stored for movies on the harddrive?

Thanks.

- I'll re-confirm the issue with not having the ability to delete a file from the contextual menu...regardless of setting the options to allow it.

- Also, what happend to the "Shuffle Playlist on Load" option?  I was running the May 21st build previously...did I miss that change?

what exactly are you asking for? pretty much everything in that screenshot differs from Project Mayhem III, so it's unclear which thing you are specifically talking about.

What i meant was having horizontal scrolling for games, right now in the games window you can have icons with labels below them.It would be great if we can have a display like the one in that mimesis screnshot , with a thumbnail on the left and description on the right.

I cannot get MS soundtracks bookmark to work anymore with this build; the last build worked fine.

        <bookmark>
            <name>MS Soundtracks</name>
            <path>soundtrack://</path>
        </bookmark>

And if i direct link to the MS soundtrack UDATA folder, it does not display the album/song names.

unseendemon, horizontally scrolling thumbnail panels aren't currently possible in XBMC.
however, the biggest question i pose to you is this: where exactly would the description text come from? is XBMC supposed to have a blurb for every single Xbox game ever made built into it?

delete & rename context menu items seem to be broken.

this could be a few things, but I just updated my XBMC to this build my other one was a good 3-4 months old. and in the same motion I made it my new dash.

Booted up just fine but it freezes when i hit my programs, and I cant get into my local drives in music/movies/pictures

i bet its something simple just cant seem to see it

go to the bookmarks xml file and change where xbmc looks at. I think default its (E:-G:)/videos. I had mine in F:/movies so it wasnt finding them.

When XboxMediaCenter.xml use to exist there was a dasboard tag you could set like so:

CODE

    C:\evoxdash.xbe

I know many of the extra settings that use to be in xboxmediacenter.xml have now been moved to UserData/AdvancedSettings.xml. However the wiki (http://manual.xboxmediacenter.de/wakka.php?wakka=advancedsettingsxml) makes no mention of a dashboard tag for AdvancedSettings.xml but you could try it anyways and see what happens.

How about looking in the GUI.  Settings->My Programs

better answer:
http://www.xbmc.xbox..._Edit_Bookmarks
it's completely unneccessary to edit any XML directly.
