Xbmc Broke My Xbox!

Hey, Ive been having a problem with my (well technically my brothers) xbox, I went the the shutdown option in XBMC and the xbox hasnt booted since. What happens is the green leds come on, then go off 3 times as it tries to boot, and then the led starts flashing red/green and it does nothing, from what i can gather its something related to the chip, I just cant see how the two can be connected. It was working perfectly before this happened. I'm still using Media Center, problem free on my own xbox and as im sure has been said a million times before, its AWESOME, i'm just a little confused as to how this happened and what actually did happen. Its was a T3CH version of Media Center (couple months old). Thanks.

that condition is known as FRAGing (Flash Red And Green), and it generally indicates an issue with the modchip.  this has nothing to do with XBMC, which is software and cannot physically disrupt your modchip (unless maybe your Xbox is haunted  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) )

it is MUCH more likely that there is something wrong with the chip itself or the bios on it. can the box boot up a auto installer disk or xbox originals? if so try and reinstall xbmc with it. failing that what kind of chip is it? and does it support ftp straight from the bios? if so that can save yer butt also. if no then ya might need to shell out 15 bucks for a programmer and get dirty with it.

also if you can let us know what type of chip is in there and what bios that could help and the version of xbox is it?

in the cases i have dealt with/heard about, FRAGing results when the chip's connection to the motherboard gets jocked up in some way, which results in the Xbox basically not having a properly working BIOS, which in turn means that nothing works...

Thanks Guys, I think for now im gonna remove the chip and just have it as a standard box. From what ive read i figure one of the wires must have come loose while it was on, but after it had read what it neded to from the chip so it wouldnt have mattered how it was turned off, it wasnt going to boot again. I bought both my boxes on ebay already chipped so this is gonna be fun, ive never opened one up before! Wish me luck!
