Xbmc With Universal Remote
« on: May 26, 2006, 08:48:00 PM »

So i got my XBMC working with my Yamaha universal stereo reciever remote. I can navigate and everything works fine but, there is no return (back) button, how would i change the xml file so that the display button (or any other button) is doing the back function instead of its original function. Any help is greatly appreciated  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

in XboxMediaCenter.xml, change <displayremotecodes> from false to true. this SHOULD make XBMC show you the code # for each button press it detects. then, you just map those #s as desired within the Keymap (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Ok i tryed doing it just like it said from the link, adding the unviersal remote stuff, but everytime i do it i keep getting an error when i restart the box. Is there anything that people commonly mess up that i could be doing wrong too?
