To have the My Videos button open up a folder, download XboxMediaCenter.xml (should be in E:\Apps\XBMC) to your PC, and open it in notepad. Find the bit that looks like this:

CODE

And put the location of your videos folder inside the <default></default> tags. For example, if your videos are in F:\Adam\Movies, make it look like:
CODE

Then save it, and re-upload it to your Xbox.

To have an image show up as the icon for your video file, give it the same name as the video-file, with a .tbn extension. For example, if you have Citizen Kane.avi, name the picture Citizen Kane.tbn and put it in the same directory. Voila.

yeah you could do that, or you could just go to My Videos, highlight the bookmark you want to make the default, press the white button and then choose "Make Default" from the context menu. i prefer this method (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
