Ok, I'm posting my pack of .strm files as requested by a fellow member here. What this is is a collection of .strm files all organized and categorized, with thumbnails and all that jazz. I basicaly just sorted through all the winamp stations and all other online stations I could find, and figured out which ones worked. I've got it all organized into Anime, Music TV, Educational, News, Sports, Video Clips, Variety TV, plus a few other, and some subcategories as well. Video clips is basically stations that just play a variety of random cool or funny clips or short films and stuff like that. Variety TV is full of programming you would actually find on a regular TV station, with ESS.tv being the biggest component here. Ess.tv has about 50 streams, each streaming a different program 24/7. There's one station that does seinfeld all day long, one for Lost, one for CSI, Family Guy, South Park, and so on. And they generally start at the first episode, go up to the most recent, and then circle right back around. Quality isn't TV quality of course, but it's definitely still enjoyable. Just FYI, ess.tv is actually a pay service. You can still watch it without paying anything, but if a subscriber decides to watch the same thing you're watching, and there are already too many other viewers, you may get kicked off. However, if you decide to subscribe, it's only 5 bucks a month, which is a great deal considering all the awesome shows you get, and that you'll be in a situation where there will basically NEVER be "nothing on." GBStv is another cool one under Video Clips, which is a user controlled station and you can go to their website (www.gbs.tv) and search their database of available videos and if you see something you'd like to watch, you can then queue it up to play on the stream. They seem to have a lot of cool/interesting/rare videos there. You can even upload your own videos and then have them play on there. It's pretty neat. Anyway, it's all pretty smoothly organized and executed I think, and I hope somebody can get some use out of this. Here's the link to the download:
http://depositfiles.com/en/files/44604/Streaming_TV.rar.htmlPS - For those of you who don't know, streaming video seems to be one of the glitchier sides of XBMC at the moment, so it will sometimes freeze after coming out of a video feed, or while trying to access one, but it will usually free up after a minute or so. Something I've noticed is that occasionally if I try exiting a video stream by pressing "B" it will freeze, but when pressing "start" and then the stop button, it pretty much never freezes. Also, all these stations have been tested and I have used them all succesfully. If it doesn't seem to be working it's probably because it is already full and can't accept any more viewers at the moment. Also, most may realize this as well, but with many of these video streams, the audio will be a little off from the video. GBStv, for example, recommends you adjust the audio to +1.0 to match up with the video. Somewhere between 1 and 1.2 usually seems to be the range for fixing the audio delay, but there are of course some exceptions. Also, in the ESS.tv stations, the names there are ones I gave to them, and the stations themselves are subject to change, the names don't change along with them. I've found they've changed a couple of stations around in the past month or so since I first installed them. If you notice something like that, please let me know.
