First of all, it doesnt happen a LOT, but it does happen and its really annoying.

Its not the movie/mp3 because i tested it with other players and the acoustic will play fine.

While watching a movie or listening to music, sometimes the acoustics is non existent. I was watching a movie just now and there was a guy playing the bagpipes, yet there was no sound of them as he played. you could hear EVERYTHING else, just not the bagpipes. So if you didn tknow you were supposed to hear anything, you would never know as it all sounds fine.

I played it just by using the disc and the bagpipes are heard fine. Whats this about?

Oh and i was just using the bagpipes as one example. Sometimes it happens in mp3s.

If you are listening to movies in Dolby Digital or DTS, make sure you enable the DTS/DD output in the audio hardware settings.

Yeah, I've noticed stuff like this as well with some of my MP3's, mainly those of the Rock genre.
It's really weird (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) And I don't have Dolby Digital or anything, I'm using the stock M$ A/V cable.

That is a little strange, I have to admit.

What are you outputting the sounds into? Direct into the TV or into an amp/receiver?
